A handy part of learning Spanish is the conversion of some of the words that are very similar to English words, we’ve found that a lot of words that in English end in ‘ty’ you just put ‘idad’ on the end instead and you have your Spanish word.
Example number one is Felicidad, which means happiness in Spanish. It actually means happiness in English as well but it’s not commonly used anymore. However in Spanish, they use ‘felicidad’ a lot! I initially saw it written in a few places.
So anyway, it turns out… when I tell people my name, they basically think I’m saying that my name is “Happiness”!! Hi, my name is ‘Happiness’ and this is my husband ‘Joyful’!! We’re a couple of crazy hippies from Australia (Erth… I’m feeling your pain… hehe)!
Turns out this is a great thing for Matt, it’s been pointed out several times that many people TRY to find happiness their whole lives. He’s found it and attained it by marrying it! How lucky is he???
Peace out.
